We are a group of people from Bream and district interested in gardening and our gardens. New members are welcome to join us to benefit from local knowledge, to swap ideas and plants with our friendly members and to enjoy our meetings, shows and visits.
Due to the current COVID 19 pandemic there will be no group meetings for the time being. Read more on this page.
What we do
Each year we have a varied programme that includes:
- Indoor Meetings, including talks and tips
- Garden Visits, both local and further afield
- The annual Bream Flower Fruit and Vegetable Show in August
- The Bream Chrysanthemum Show in late October
- Social gatherings
Our Shows are open for all to enter.
These are held on the second Tuesday of the month starting at 7.30pm. at the West Dean Centre in the High Street, Bream, GL15 6JW. The car park and entrance are next to Bream Community Library.
Most meetings take place in the Witherby Room next to the Library. Entry is via the door nearest the road.
Non-members are very welcome to attend our indoor meetings.
There is a charge of £2 which includes tea or coffee and biscuits.
Joining the Bream Gardening Society
We welcome new members. You do not have to have a garden or allotment to join us. If you are interested in joining us, please contact us or just come along to one of our meetings or events.
Our membership fee is only £10 a year.
Non-members are welcome at all meetings.
We are affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society and a member of the Gloucestershire Federation of Gardening Societies.
Our next show is the 155th Annual Flower and Produce Show due to be held on Saturday 22nd August 2020.
This will be a very different show for 2020; due to the current restrictions on social gatherings, we are planning to go virtual.
