Help to prune a mixture of fruit trees in a small orchard. No experiencenecessary – guidance will be provided. Flat ground and the trees are not tootall. Some trees will need a hard prune to rejuvenate.Later in the year we will return to the orchard to harvest the fruit for pressing.

An opportunity to visit a Chelsea gold medal winning nursery which is right onour doorstep but not normally open to the public. She is a planting focussed garden designer, writer and speaker.Nicola will provide us with lots of garden design tips and tricks for a pleasingand productive organic vegetable and ornamental garden.

The spring edition of the Forest Showcase highlights fresh produce from over 100 local producers and chefs. Gardening tips and workshops, children’s garden area, floral displays, and activities. As usual, BGS will have a stall – always a popular event at which to volunteer.
