August 2024

Hello Everyone

Great excitement as the show is nearly upon us. As you can imagine – the committee is very busy just now. If you haven’t already planned your entries and exhibits, please put your mind to it. Entries close at 6pm on Thursday 15th August so that is not far away.
Probably the easiest way to enter is via our website. Alternatively you can email or post your entries. I’m sure you will already have a schedule but take another look and see how you can support your local show. If your veg and flowers are not quite perfect, don’t worry, we are all in the same boat as the growing season has not been good has it? We don’t want to see empty benches!

Donations will also be very welcome with raffle or tombola prizes and any spare plants you have can go on the plant stall but please make sure the plant is named – please add the colour too if known.. people do ask!. It doesn’t have to be the posh name, a common name will do nicely.

I have also added a copy of the poster to the email. It would be great if you can copy this and put some posters up for us in prominent places to encourage a good attendance on the day.

However, I feel sure that Kathryn and Elizabeth can put this more eloquently so I’ve put their message on here too.
