August 2025

Hello everyone
Lovely to be back with you all to bring you up to date with what’s going on with your Society.

I’ve heard from Jane that she booked a trip to Hampton Court with the Lydney and Severnside Flower Club on Monday 11th August for £25 which she now finds, due to health issues, that she cannot go on. If anyone is wishing they could go please get in touch, it should be a splendid day out ~ jane@janemcarr.co.uk

We currently have plenty of printed copies (A3 and A4) on good quality paper, that we can provide to members if you would like to get in touch breamgardeningsociety@gmail.com Advertising is essential and it would be really helpful.

Suzanne has sent me her update……
Website – Summer show. Advice pages for each show section are now available on the website. Please read the relevant ones before show day as there are many useful hints there.

Raffle Tickets If you took raffle tickets to sell before the show, it’s time to return the stubs and money or the unsold tickets. These need to be with the Treasurer by 6pm Thursday 14th August. It would be ideal if you could bring them to the next meeting on 12th August.

Young Gardeners
At our recent workshop we used the Eco Print technique to print fabric using an assortment of leaves. While our fabric was in the dye pan we had time for a craft activity so made friendship bracelets and book-work book marks. We all had a great time. The next workshop is on 8th August and bookings are almost full again so email now if you have children who are interested in joining in. The topics for 8th August are sprouting seeds and the craft project is painting and drawing mini beasts.
